Hi there - before I get going with this beauty review I should explain the change in blog look (again). I've had this blog for almost a year now and have been trying to settle into a look that suits it, I was almost there with the last one but decided I wanted something more timeless that I wouldn't grow out of within a few months. I hope people like this new look, let me know if you do, this one is here to stay!
Anyway my first beauty review so bear with me - it's bound to be a bit crap! But I'll try my best!
Burt's Bees mango lip balm - good stuff. Nothing bad to say really... I suffer from really dry lips and this is the best lip balm I have used. Although it's a tad expensive for lip balm at over £3 but it's totally worth it! And the mango one smells (and tastes) yummy.
Good things 5 minutes facial mask - this is awesome! It smells uuuhhhmeeehhhzing. It comes out of the bottle a muddy brown/green kinda colour (proper spa facial type treatment looking) so I fully expected it to plaster onto my face and make me look super cool. It didn't, it went on clear-ish but it totally fixed my face in place. Which for me is a totally necessary factor in a face mask - if you're going to have a face mask you gotta do it right! After leaving it on for five/ten minutes and gently washing it off my skin was left soooo soft. Like a baby's butt. (Apologies for the really un-technical review...)
Good things eye cream - there a special offer on in boots so I got the eye cream too! I also suffer from dark skin under and around my eyes which is most unattractive and I have tried so many concealers and creams and gels but nothing ever works! I'm considering trying the new garnier bb under eye gel. This cream smells lovely and a little goes a long way. It wakes up my eyes a bit and leaves them looking not quite so dull but it doesn't make it perfect so I'm still on the hint for something better...
I hope this was an OK beauty review. Apologies for the totally nontechnical terms and I would have done before and after photos but my skin is going through a very horrible stage at the moment (I'm blaming exam stress) so I'd rather not share photos of it, and I'm sure you'd rather not see them.
I have a few planned posts coming up - another DIY, wishlist and hopefully a haul sometime soon...yay!

Nice review. I like Burts Bees lipbalm too. I haven't tried the mango one, though.

I've never tried any good things products before but that face mask sounds like it might be worth a try :) xx
ReplyDeleteI love the Good Things facial mask, it does smell amaaaa-zing! And i agree about the softness, it's unreal! I also use the Good Things Fresh Start Cleanser, which again feels amazing!
